Synthesis and Properties of Novel Multilayer Semiconductor Structures.

Abstract

A mercury-compatible molecular beam epitaxy system has been designed and constructed at NCSU. The system has been used to prepared and study a variety of novel quantum well structures and superlattices. These studies have led to a number of research publications in this area, as described in the final report. Keywords include: MBE, Infrared Materials, HgCdTe, and Quantum Well Structures.
