Conference Proceedings: Mechanical Qualification of Large Flexible Spacecraft Structures.

Abstract

The paper in these Conference Proceedings form a record of a Specialists' Meeting held by the Structures and Materials Panel in Oberammergau in the Fall of 1985. The papers cover the problems associated with the mechanical qualification of flexible spacecraft, and give details of relevant methods and techniques. The final discussion highlights the difficulties associated with advanced methods of experimental and theoretical dynamic analysis and the handling of larger and larger amounts of data. Keywords: Large Space Structures, Expandables, Structures, Elastic Shells, Framed Structures, Dynamic Structural analysis, Large Space Structures, Flexible Structures; Symposia.
