COMO Integrated Air Defense (IAD) Model Evaluation Study.

Abstract

The purpose of this effort was to evaluate the COMO IAD Model. COMO IAD is a critical-event-stepped, Monte Carlo model suitable for theather simulations of air-to-air, air-to-ground, and ground-to-air combat. The model was installed and exercised for a range of problems in order to identify and rectify any faulty programming steps which might exist, and to gain experience with, an establish confidence in the model. A comparison was made with the more established and detailed engineering-level COMO model developed by the US Army Missile Command. Results of the comparison indicated, with few exceptions, that the two models will produce similar results under the given scenario. Keywords: Statistical analysis; output; linears regression.
