An Examination of the Relative Stabilities of MgxNi1-x0 and NiO on Spherocarb.

Abstract

The Diatomic Hydrogen reductions of MgxNi1-xO and Nitric oxide dispersed on Spherocarb Carbon were studied using a combined magnetic-thermogravimetric technique. It was found that the NiO was greatly stabilized by solid solution formation with Magnesium oxide but the carbon support did not stabilize the NiO towards H2 reduction.
