Effect of Manufacturing Processes on Structural Allowables Phase 2

Abstract

This report contains the results of tests to determine the effect of manufacturing processes on the mechanical properties of three aerospace materials: Inconel 718 solution treated and aged bar, Inconel 625 annealed bar, and Inconel 625 annealed sheet. Tensile, compression, shear, bearing, and fatigue (notched and unnotched for three stress ratios) properties were obtained. Keywords: Nickel alloy Inconel; Tensile yield strength; Tensile ultimate strength; Compressive yield strength; Shear ultimate strength; Bearing yield strength; Bearing ultimate strength; Elongation; Tensile modulus of elasticity; Compressive modulus of elasticity; Fatigue properties; Inconel bars; Inconel sheets.
