Theoretical Development for Identifying Underlying Internal Processes. Volume 4. Task Domains of Naval Flight Officers (NFOs).
Abstract
This volume reports work on a review of hundreds of Naval Flight Officer (NFO) roles, duties, and tasks, described in 1972-73, which reportedly covered all the activities of many types of NFOs. Four ways of classifying NFO tasks were developed and are discussed in this document. Finally, several generic NFO task domains were singled out as deserving of further experimental study to determine the underlying internal processes required of NFOs by the tasks in those domains.
