Cyanide Prophylaxis and Cytochrome Oxidase.

Abstract

The research is on the treatment and prophylaxis of cyanide intoxication. 1. The toxicology and pathology of sodium nitrite and sodium thiosulfate were examined by the intramuscular route. 2. Studies are concerned with evaluation of DMAP and sodium nitrite as cyanide antagonists on a prophylactic and therapeutic conditions. 3. The effect of cyanide on cytochrome oxidase under in vitro conditions were studied with various cyanide antagonists. 4. A new class of cyanide antagonists are being developed. 5. Various reviews on cyanide antagonism are shown.
