The Army Study Program. Fiscal 1987 Report.
Abstract
This document contains The Army Study Program (TASP) for Fiscal Year 1987. It describes the annual study program in terms of the issues addressed by these studies, functional area, and potential impact upon the Army, as well as other characteristics of studies as contained in the Consultants, Studies and Management Support Services data base (CSAMSS). A comparison of the FY 87 study program with study programs from prior years is also provided. The FY 87 Army study program data were collected from agencies and commands. The data were tabulated by computer and analyzed. This document contains the summarized data and interpretation of the results. The study program data are presented in several dimensions which should be of interest to Army commanders, managers, and sponsors of the study program. These include critical Army issue, functional area, potential impact to the Army, resources, study sponsor, and themethod used to perform the study (contract vs. inhouse).
