Short Wavelength Laser/Materials Interactions.

Abstract

This report summarizes work completed on Short Wavelength Laser/Materials Interactions. The following projects have been completed: 1)microscale lase/materials experiments using cw chemical and rp excimer laser irradiation sources, 2) studies of short wavelength interaction phenomenology and effects. 3) development and use of laser probe attenuation and absorption systems for measurements on laser ablated plumes. 4) quadrupole mass spectromentric studies of laser pyrolysis products, and 5) laser hardened materials is evaluations.
