An Analysis of Army Thermal Transmissivity Calculations

Abstract

This report covers a review of the present procedures employed by the Army in calculating thermal transmissivity. As result of the analysis it was determined that the present approach does not accurately predict the transmissivity. The report discusses a comparison between the present methodology and that employed in the revised DNA EM-1 handbook. A procedure is recommended which will correct existing deficiencies. Keywords: Thermal Radiation; Thermal Transmissivity.
