On the Intensity of Crossings by a Shot Noise Process.

Abstract

The crossing intensity of a level by a shot noise process with a monotone impulse response is studied. It is shown that the intensity can be naturally expressed in terms of a marginal probability. Also some examples are given to illustrate how the marginal probability can be obtained. Keywords: Level crossing; shot noise.
