Some Mathematical Results on Incomplete Orthogonal Arrays.

Abstract

Incomplete orthogonal arrays are known to have desirable statistical properties as designs in factorial experiments. Apart from Maurin's paper very few results are known on their mathematical aspects which are meaningful in statistical applications. Inspired by the results of Maurin we study in this paper some mathematical aspects of incomplete orthogonal arrays with arbitrary strength. We start by giving a formal definition of an incomplete orthogonal array. Throughout this paper S will denote a set of s symbols, while H will be a subset of S of cardinality h.
