Research on Materials and Components for Opto-Electronic Signal Processing and Computing.
Abstract
Electro-absorption and electro-refraction properties of heterostructures and multiple quantum-well structures in III-V semiconductors were investigated for spatial modulation applications. A new device, the gate controlled photo-diode (GCPD) has been conceived and demonstrated. It has potential applications in optical signal processing. Keywords include: III-V Compound Semiconductors, Electro-absorption, Electro-refraction, Gate Controlled Photodiode, and Quantum Wells.
