UK Oceanographers Meet in Southampton.
Abstract
This UK conference, held at the Univ. of Southampton in September 1986, brought together representatives from all sectors of the UK oceanographic community. Their presentations provided a good picture of the current state of oceanographic research in the UK. The topic included deep ocean and continental shelf dynamic processes, ocean surface waves, upper ocean physics, numerical models, instruments and data analysis, sediment processes, geochemistry of sediments, and chemical and biological systems.
