Hyperchannel File Transfer (HFT) User Interface Commands (VI.O).
Abstract
The Computer Center at DTNSRDC has recently expanded its HYPERchannel Network to include the Scientific and Engineering (S&E) VAX/VMS Computer Systems. S&E VAX users can access the HYPERchannel Network by HYPERchannel File Transfer (HFT) Facility User Interface Commands which are a local extension of Digital Equipment Corporation's Digital Command Language (DCL). HFT allows users to enter DCL-like commands which execute the appropriate lower level routines contained in the DTNSRDC HYPERchannel Run Time Library. These are fully documented in DTNSRDC technical report number CMLD-86-25, entitled HYPERchannel Run Time Library V2.0 User's Guide. This paper describes the HFT Facility and is broken down into two sections. The HFT User's Guide discusses the available HFT commands, their function and syntactical definition. Since the only remote node currently available via HFT is the CDC Cyber-170 825, all examples in the User's Guide section refer to communications with the CDC processor.
