1986 Meeting of the Estuarine and Brackish Water Science Association (EBSA).

Abstract

The papers presented at the 16th symposium of the association, held in September 1986 in Plymouth, UK, covered a range of topics, including sediment transport, the effect of turbidity on living organisms, the nature of turbidity, the effects of dams on turbidity, the microbiology associated with turbudity, the physics of bottom materials, and the surface chemistry of suspended particles. The papers showed that numerical models are starting to be used effectively and innovative laboratory experiments are beginning to supply some of the answers to problems that have been with us for many years. Keywords: Estuaries, Biological oceanography, Dynamic oceanography.
