A Comparison of Selected Regular Structures in NMOS (N-Channel Metal Oxide Semiconductor) VLSI (Very Large Scale Integrated) Technology.
Abstract
A four micron NMOS technology integrated circuit was designed to compare the characteristics of selected regular circuit structures. Circuits were designed in custom, Programmable Logic Array, Modified Programmable Logic Array and Weinberger Array formats. Overviews are provided for the design processes and testing performed. Compilations of the test results and descriptions of the related observations and conclusions are provided. Recommendations are made toward continuing the investigation to provide a broader base of comparison for regular circuit structures. (Author)
