Electromagnetic Attenuation Measurement of the West Wall of Building 6220, RSA (Redstone Arsenal, Alabama).

Abstract

The mission of Missile Systems Software Center(MSSC) at Redstone Arsenal, Alabama will require the use of sensitive data acquisition and analysis hardware colocated with powerful radio frequency emitters. In order to minimize interference in the MSSC computational equipment, attention was directed to electromagnetic shielding in the design of the Center's building (Building 6220, Redstone Arsenal). In order to verify the shielding effectiveness of the high bay wall separating the computational equipment from the electromagnetic emitters the Electromagnetic and Nuclear Effects Group of the Research, Development, and Engineering Center performed a shielding effectiveness test of the west wall of Building 6220. This report details the test methods, results and conclusions. (Author)
