US Army and US Air Force: A History of Conflict

Abstract

Traces the history of conflict between the United States' ground forces and air forces. Describes the causes of this conflict as organizational structure factors, human factors, and competition for limited resources. The author discusses the costs of conflict and three different approaches to resolving it. The author concludes that a major reorganization of the United States' military is required. (Author)
