Physical Therapy Career Ladder AFSC 913X0.

Abstract

This survey was requested by the USAF School of Health Care Sciences (SHCS), Sheppard AFB, to provide data as a basis for updating the AFSC 913X0 Specialty Training Standard (SIS) and the Plan of Instruction (POI) for the J3ABR91330 course. Completed job inventories were received from 89 percent or 235 ofthe 264 personnel eligible to participate in the survey. These returns are representative of the total APSC 91330/50/70 population. Based upon similarity of tasks performed, a hierarchical progression consisting of 5 jobs was identified: Trainee/Specialist, Technician/Specialist, Athletic Trainer, Supervisor-Technician NCOIC, and, Manager-Supervisor NCOIC. There are, however, only minor differences among four of the five speciality jobs. Only Manager-Supervisor NCOIC job is appreciably different.
