The Impact of Metrication on Life Cycle Costs of the LHX Weapon System.

Abstract

The aerospacer industry and Army logisticians have expressed doubt that the Army fully understands the impact of metrication on the Life Cycle Cost of the LHX(Light Helicopter System) weapon system. This report provides Army decision-makers an analysis upon which to make decisions regarding metrication of the LHX and future materiel developments. Using costing and economic analysis techniques within the general scope of operations research/system analyzes and compares LHX program implementation alternatives and provides a methodology to support management decisions relative to the acquistion process.
