Abstract
This paper describes the Computational and Analytic Segment (CAS), a component of the World Wide Command and Control System (WWMCCS) Information System (WIS) Smart Advisor for Planning and Execution Decisions (WISSAPED). In its current form, this paper constitutes technical guidance in contractual documents for the development of the elements of CAS. CAS consists of numerical and non-numerical modules which will be accessed and linked by the specific interfaces between CAS and other components of WISSAPED. This volume is the seventh of a nine-volume set describing projects which are planned for prototype foundation technologies for WIS using the Ada programming language. The other volumes include command language; software design, description, and analysis tools; text processing; database management system; operating systems; graphics; and network protocols.
