On Bayes Selection Rules for the Best Exponential Population with Type-I Censored Data.

Abstract

The problem of selecting the exponential population having the largest mean life among several exponential populations is investigated. A Bayes rule based on type I censored data is derived. A monotone property of the Bayes selection rule is discussed. An early selection rule is also proposed. Finally, an example is presented to illustrate the implementation of these two selection rules.
