A Future Workplace Environment for Developing Prototype Equipment.

Abstract

Producing hardware models for concept evaluation in a cost effective and timely manner has become one of the major problems in development cycle of high technology military materiel. Long lead times and unpredictable delivery schedules are constantly preventing the supply of indigenous developments to the Australian Defence Force. The development process is examined to evaluate what automated aids can be applied, and a solution is proposed in the form of a new workplace environment.
