Phase 2 Verification Report of VAMOSC Source Data System G004L.
Abstract
The Job Order Production Master System (G004L) is one of the data source inputs to the Air Force Visibility and Management of Operating and Support Costs (VAMOSC) system. It provides a quarterly count of repairable components by NSN that were actually repaired by the depots (serviceable repairs), a quarterly count of the same items that were condemned and a monthly count of on-aircraft earned hours by MDS at depot. G004L was selected for verification and validation by the Air Force as part of a phased plan to examine data source inputs to VAMOSC algorithms and to establish their accuracy, completeness and appropriateness. This report presents the results of the data element analysis. The statement of work specified these requirements: 1) Conduct an analysis of the G004L data system to establish the definition of each data element provided to VAMOSC. Review G004L processing procedures, internal system logic, and input procedures to establish the validity, accuracy, and completeness of the data. Identify the interfaces of G004L with other ADP systems related to VAMOSC; 2) Determine the degree of conformity of actual G004L data input practices with documented requirements; and 3) Review G004L data provided to VAMOSC for timeliness, accuracy and completeness.
