Collapse of the MRL 38 MM Shaped Charge - A Data Base for Computer Modelling,

Abstract

Detailed results are presented from experimental studies of the collapse and jet formation in the MRL 38mm shaped charge. These results provide a data base which is valuable for assessing the accuracy of computer models used to predict shaped charge behaviour. Experimental results obtained by flash radiography are compared with predictions from the two-dimensional hydrodynamic code HELP. Keywords: Australia; Data acquisition; Computer programs; Hydrocodes.
