Physical Properties and Structure of Ion-Containing Polymers.

Abstract

Research had been concerned with the miscibility enhancement using ion-ion or ion-dipole interactions in simple coopolymers as well as the polyurethanes, the synthesis and mechanical property studies of the block copolymers containing short ionic end blocks, structure-property relations covering a wide range of studies ranging from the introduction of hitherto unexplored ion types (such as phenoxy) into polystyrene and preliminary studies of ionic 'combs' and melt rheology investigations of ionomer-diluent systems.
