Abstract

This thesis describes the computer resources of a defense contractor and the informational needs within the manufacturing environment of their organization. Since the company wishes to maintain their anonymity, it is referred to as Northern California Electronics (NCE). Research is conducted through a series of interviews with department heads and support personnel, observation of work processes, and the examination of current periodical literature and texts. The thesis includes an informational requirements analysis, a proposed informational architectural design, information systems strategic planning.
