Installation Restoration General Environmental Technology Development. Field Demonstration of Incinerator Feed System for Explosives-Contaminated Soils. Volume 2. Appendices.

Abstract

This report presents the results of field demonstration project to evaluate the suitability of an incinerator feed system for conveying explosives-contaminated soils. This report presents the test variables, schedule of tests and runs, data analysis, and conclusions and recommendations for future field implementation. This volume includes the following appendices: Summary of incinerator feed system development; Tests for propagation of explosion of explosives-contaminated lagoon soils; Flame testing of incinerator feed system handling explosives-contaminated lagoon soils; Hazards analysis of incinerator feed system; Catalog data for the tracked excavator; Catalog data for the self-dumping steel hoppers; Soil gradation curves for CHAAP test runs.
