Non-Linear Finite Element Analysis Program.
Abstract
The Non-Linear Finite Element Analysis Program NOFEAP is designed for applications which require frequency modifications. The program, developed for VAX 11/730 running under VMS Version 4.3 operating system, is modular in structure. The problem solution module is designed around a macro programming language concept in which the solution algorithm is written by the user. There are sufficient macro commands in the program for many applications in structural mechanics. The element library of NOFEAP contains elements to model linear and non-linear problems for axisymmetric bodies and bodies in plane strain or plane stress. Nonlinear elements are available for elastic -plastic and/or geometrically non-linear analysis. Surface nonlinearities are modeled by using a contact problem formulation provided in the problem for two-dimensional bodies. This manual contains NOFEAP user manuals for mesh generation, macro commands' definition and the element library description.
