Numerical Analysis of Terminal Double Mach Reflection.

Abstract

Pseudostationary oblique-shock-wave reflections in real and perfect gases were investigated. In particular, we studied the special case of double Mach reflection known as terminal double Mach reflection. Numerical solutions on the inviscid equations are presented and compared with experimental and analytical results. Disparities between our numerical results and those predicted by the two- and three-shock theory are discussed. Keywords: Euler equations; Mathematical models; Computer codes. (Author)
