Application of Computer Methods for Calculation of Multicomponent Phase Diagrams of High Temperature Structural Ceramics.

Abstract

Computer Coupled Phase Diagrams and Thermochemical Data have been used to calculate the Titanium dioxiole-Aluminum oxide, TiO2-Silicon dioxide, TiO2-Calcium oxide, TiO2-Yttrium oxide quasi binary systems as well as ternary sections over a wide range of temperatures for the following systems, Hafnium oxide-Magnesium oxide-Y2O3, HfO2-CaO-Zirconium oxide SiO2-HfO2-Y2O3, MgO-SiO2-HfO2, TiO2-Al3O3-MgO, Al2O3-TiO2-SiO2, TiO2-Al2O3-HfO2 and MgO-SiO2-TiO2.
