Rectangular Microstrip Patch Antennas Arrays,
Abstract
This report is oriented toward designing rectangular microstrip patch antenna arrays with corporate feed networks It includes an explanation of the transmission line model for designing inset fee rectangular patch antennas and presents some very accurate results that were achieved in spite of the relative simplicity of the model. In addition, it presents a reactive power divider design that doesn't require much space, yet was near ideal in minimizing the input VSWR and providing equal phase and amplitude between the output ports. Finally, it presents a 4x4 array designed for 8 GHz which achieved near maximum gain with very little phase or amplitude error. (Author)
