An Introduction to Ada (Trade Name) Using FORTRAN as a Basis.

Abstract

Although almost every Electrical Engineer has heard about the new DOD programming language Ada, many still have very little knowledge of the capabilities of the language. Ada is a structured language with many new features not available in older languages. Since most engineers are familiar with FORTRAN, this report introduces Ada by making a comparison with FORTRAN. Example programs are given in both languages to illustrate some of the new features of Ada. (Author).
