Improving Marine Corps Food Service Management and Training

Abstract

A series of innovative actions was taken to improve Marine Corps food service management based on an empirical study of Marine Corps food service conducted during the early phases of the project. Accomplishments included: production of training films specific to Marine Corps needs: civilian food service training at Marine Corps bases; conduction of communications seminars for first level managers; developement of a customer feedback system and construction of Job Qualification Index for cooks and bakers.
