Saturation of Response of PbS Infrared Detectors Under High Flux

Abstract

Laboratory and mathematical results are provided to show that chopped radiation is approximately twice as effective as steady background radiation in causing saturation of Pbs infrared detector performance at high flux levels. Keywords: Infrared detectors; lead sulfide; Incident flux; Chopped radiation.
