Ada (Tradename) Compiler Validation Summary Report. New York University. NYU Ada/Ed-C, Version 1.7. ELXSI System 6400.

Abstract

This Validation Summary Report (VSR) summarizes the results and conclusions of validation testing performed on the NYU Ada/Ed-C, Version 1.7, using Version 1.7 of the Ada Compiler Validation Capability (ACVC). The validation process included submitting a suite of standardized tests (the ACVC) as inputs to an Ada compiler to ANSI/MIL-STD-1815A Ada by testing that it properly implements legal language constructs and that it identifies and rejects illegal language constructs. The testing also identifies behavior that is implementation dependent but permitted by ANSI/MIL-STD-1815A. Six classed of tests are used. These tests are designed to perform checks checks at at compile time at link time, or during execution. On-site testing was performed 21 Apr 1986 through 23 Apr 1986 at New York University, New York City NY, under the auspices of the Ada Validation Facility (AVF), according to Ada Validation Organization (AVO) policies and procedures.
