United States Global Strategy.

Abstract

As a global Superpower, the United States greatly affects and is greatly affected by the rest of the world. Its vision and future must lie beyond its borders. A set of US global objectives is proposed to channel US foreign policy in a coherent direction away from man's historical path of repetitive warfare. The US Global Objectives strive for an advanced world in which nations have secure borders, peace is secured by beneficial interaction between nations, arms levels and defense spending are decreasing, governments serve their people, the imbalance in world wealth is decreasing, and international problems are dealt with co-operatively. A US Global Strategy, which departs from todays world reality and problems, is proposed to achieve each of the global objectives. The paper is offered to stimulate thought and debate on the ends, ways and means of US international policy.
