Water Distribution Study: Erie, Pennsylvania.

Abstract

The primary objective of this study was to prepare an information report that can be used by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, the city of Erie, Pennsylvania, and others, to help obtain Federal and State authorization programs and financial programs and financial assistance for rehabilitation of the existing water distribution system of the city of Erie. At the request of the city, the scope of the investigation was limited to the distribution system. Only a cursory review of the intake and treatment facilities was made. The Buffalo District conducted this study to determine the physical condition of the major components of the water distribution system. The Wood's computer program was used to model the system. The following major components were also investigated: water conservation, rate use studies, main break analysis, and water demand forecasts.
