Statistical Analysis of Railroad Safety Performance, 1977-1982.
Abstract
Statistics relating to railroad safety performance in the United States during the period 1977-1982 are compiled and reviewed. A substantial improvement occured during this period in each of the major areas of safety performance-human injuries, train accident and financial cost.
