Abstract

This report is prepared by Washington Headquarters Services/Directorate for Information Operations and Reports (WHS/DIOR). It contains summary data on the types and amounts of real and personal property owned by the Department of Defense as of September 30, 1986. It is produced by WHS/DIOR in response to the National Security Act of 1947, as amended in 1949 and codified in Title 10 of the United States Code, Section 2701, which mandates that records be maintained by the Secretary of Defense on all fixed property, installations, major equipment items, and stored supplies.
