United States Leverage in Sri Lanka.

Abstract

This paper examines the ethnic conflict facing the island nation of Sri Lanka. The topic is developed by tracing the history of the conflict, the current position of all parties involved, the United States relations with Sri Lanka, and the important issues affecting our future policies toward Sri Lanka. The conclusion addresses the United States leverage strategy required to convince the Sri Lankan government to come to grips with the ethnic conflict.
