A Comparison of Air Force Versus Federal Aviation Administration Airframe Structural Qualification Criteria.

Abstract

The FAA organization and certification policies and procedures as they apply to aircraft structures are briefly reviewed. Differences between the military specifications and federal aviation regulations are addressed in general, followed by a comparison of USAF Airplane Strength and Rigidity specifications with FARs 23 and 25 requirements.
