Integrated Information Support System (IISS). Volume 3. IISS Configuration Management. Part 3. Technical Control Document.

Abstract

The Integrated Information Support System is a test computing environment used to investigate and demonstrate and test the concepts of Information Management and Information Integration in the Cobtexts of Aerospace Manufacturing. Specifically, IISS addresses the problems of Integration of Data resident on heterogeneous databases supported by heterogeneous computers, interconnected via a local are a network. A common data model is maintained and provides the mechanism required to integrate the data. This manual, the Technical Control Document (TCD), was developed during the 6201 IISS project to describe potential enhancements to the IISS system. This version of the TCD is a reference of the enhancements being considered for IISS in July, 1984.
