A Study of Passenger Workload as Related to Protective Breathing Requirements.
Abstract
This study was undertaken to evaluate workloads, oxygen consumption, carbon dioxide production and respiratory exchange rates for passengers during an emergency aircraft evacuation. This was accomplished in an effort to formulate possible qualification standards for a passenger protective breathing device intended to protect from smoke and fumes. Keywords: Aircraft safety.
