Data Processing System Specifications for the GEOSAT Satellite Radar Altimeter.

Abstract

This report provides an overview of the Naval Surface Weapons Center's segment of the GEOSAT satellite project; specifically, it documents the radar altimeter data analysis and reduction system. Through the data channels described, radar alyimeter measurements collected aboard GEOSAT are converted into best-estimated along-track heights and vertical deflections.
