Hazardous Waste Staff Assistance Survey, McGuire AFB, New Jersey.

Abstract

At the request of HQ MAC/SGPB, the USAFOEHL conducted a hazardous waste staff assistance survey at McGuire AFB from 17 Nov 86 to 26 Nov 86. The scope of this survey was to address hazardous waste management practices and explore opportunities for hazardous waste minimization. The survey team performed a shop-by-shop evaluation of chemical waste management practices and met with hazardous waste managers and engineers to discuss the hazardous waste program. The program is informal and relies heavily on the participation of the Environmental Planning Office, DEEV. This dependency on DEEV tends to insure proper disposal of waste, however, advancing and refining this program will necessitate greater particiopation from the Base Bioenvironmental Engineering Shop, SGPB, along with personnel from using organizations. Keywords: Waste reduction, Wastes, Hazardous materials.
