Catalog of Low Resolution Infrared Spectra: Field-Widened Interferometer Payload: Sergeant A30.276 - Launched 13 April 1983,
Abstract
A Sergeant Rocket instrumented with a cryogenically-cooled, Michelson IR Interferometer was launched 13 April 1983 from the Poker Flat, Alaska Reasearch Rane. The purpose of the flight was to measure IR emission spectra in the 2 - 7.5 micrometer region. The flight was extremely successful and provided first-resolved spectra of carbon monoxide (CO) near 4.7 micrometer and of ionized nitric oxide (NO+) near 4.3 micrometer. Further, the data from this flight provided the first high resolution spectra of atmospheric emitters as a function of altitude. These data include hydroxyl (OH) near 2.8 micrometer carbon dioxide (CO2) near 4.3 micrometer, and nitric oxide (NO) near 5.4 micrometer. This report catalogs the spectra obtained during the flight and presents it with low resultion. Keywords: Low Resolution, Atmsopheric Emission, Spectra, Infrared radiation.
