Space-Variant Optical Systems.

Abstract

Analytical and experimental investigations of 1-D and 2-D coherent and incoherent space-variant optical processors have been conducted. Areas investigated have included (1) bilinear transform implementations using AO processors; (2) optical polynomial processing; (3) window-programmable image processors; (4) optical multistage interconnection networks; and (5) a 2-D C1os interconnection network.
