A Parallel Structure for On Line Identification and Adaptive Control.

Abstract

We investigated the possibility of employing parallel computing structures for adaptive identification and control. The identification algorithm is based on recursive least-squares with covariance resetting and block processing technique. It is shown how a parallel processing structure can be obtained by recursively applying Givens Rotation to the data matrix. Due to the regularity of its structure the approach presented is particularly attractive for VLSI implementation. Keywords: Parameter estimation.
